Mellow Yellow/Music Monday
So, ya'll know by now that my blog-mistress is a bit of a nut.
I mean...a nut about walking!
*ahem*
She says it keeps her butt and brain from getting mushy.
*ahem*
She also likes to take pictures of stuff she sees along the way.
She also likes to take pictures of stuff she sees along the way.
Oh...she also has to listen to music and/or talk on the phone whilst walking...
so actually the ol' gal is capable of walking, talking, listening,
AND taking pictures at the same time.
*WoW*
All I gots to say about that is....
WALK ON!

Mellow Yellow/Music Monday
You may have noticed that my blog-mistress has not been
around much lately...?
Well...there's a perfectly somewhat logical explanation for that...
you see, she's going crazy,
back to school.
So... instead of cruising 'round the blogosphere in her jammies 'til long past noon everyday (and night!)...she's having to go to bed at reasonable hour,
be up before the sun, organized, disciplined and use her all of brain!
Which has thrown the ol' galfor a loop just a little off course...
Which has thrown the ol' gal
She assures me that normal blogging activities will resume....but in the meantime, she's asked me to "cut her some slack" and "show a little support!"
Yah, well I've Been There, Done That!!!...so...I guess it won't kill me to do it again...
I just hope it doesn't kill her!

Life's Too Short To Stuff Tomatoes
I just overheard my favorite ol' git, Daddy Papersurfer,
Which may be true..
but,
Is life too short to stuff tomatoes in your cups?
Please offer up your profound thoughts on this (or any) subject in my comment box!

Mellow Yellow/Music Monday
Personally,
I have had enough of this dang COLD weather!!!
I just wanna go hang out on a beach...
and feel the blazing, hot sun penetrating my straps...
the soft, warm sand grinding into my underwires...
and a nice, stiff breeze caressing my oh-so-delicate cups...
*oh my!*
I'm feeling a LOT warmer already!
I hope you enjoy my Maui Sunset photo

You're So Sweet You Make Sugar Taste Like Dirt! (...or something like that)
Fuel My Blog has extended an offer to their members to try products for free in exchange for an (unpaid) review on their blogs. Last month, my blog-mistress reviewed Smooth Away hair removal product, and this month she sampled the 100% natural sugar substitute, Fructevia.
We, (my blog-mistress and I) think Fructevia is an awesome product and plan on using it in place of sugar on a regular basis. Although she will prolly not be baking brownies from scratch again anytime soon....please check out this short video and you'll see why!

You Don't Have To Shave Your Legs....
Believe it or not,
I have an opinion on pretty much everything...
(except for sports and politics 'cuz I think they're stoopid and yucky)
...so when the good folks over at Fuel My Blog asked if I'd be willing to particpate in their Product Testing Scheme (try free stuff in exchange for an honest and unpaid review on my blog) I said, "Sure, sign me up!"
Well, since bra's don't have hair, I let my blog-mistress have a go with the first one - a hair removal product called Smooth Away. Here's her review:
Upon opening the box, my first thought was "Sandpaper?!"
But according to the Smooth Away website the product contains "superfine crystals that buff the hair away." (Which, come to think of it is kinda like sandpaper, isn't it?)
I used the large pad on my legs and was pleasantly surprised that the hair on the outside of my shins did indeed come off rather easily....but the hair on the inside of my shins, around my calves, ankles and knees did not budge. Nor did the hair on my more "sensitive areas"...'nuff said 'bout that. Then I tried the small pad on my face (not that I have a lot of hair there, just some blond fuzzies) and unfortunately it only irritated my skin.
So, my not-so-humble-opinion of Smooth Away?...if had a lot of time and patience and really fine hair, then perhaps this product would come in handy (it does claim that with continued use, less hair will grow back and it will be thinner than previous hair)...but for now, I think I'll stick with my good old fashioned razor.

Holey Moley! (See what you started DaddyP?!)
Fracas's Mole-Inspired Poem
deserves it's own post!
(And you can read it here!)
Olga, Olga… oh so sweet;
loves to travel, more so to tweet.
Her mistress ma’am… a lovely lass;
with mole like Marilyn, and lots of class!
Friends from far and wide the same,
share a goal… a common aim.
To care for Olga, have some fun…
and send her off when their time is done.
Someday she’ll be a tv star,
If Dave or Ellen would raise the bar.
And invite her on their network show…
Dear Olga’s clasps would surely glow.
She’d have the chance to do some good,
talk of smooshing boobs, I’m sure she would!
That mole might then, be famous too, Shawn.
No one deserves it more than you!
Fracas...you are the BEST BOSOM BUDDY
a bra'wd could ever ask for!
DOUBLE-D THANKS! Mmmmmm-wah!
**Please visit Fracas' blog to read her inspiration for this AWESOME poem in this post!
An Ode To A Mole
Daddy Papersurfer, my favorite ol' git,
Entertains us with his wisdom & wit
And apparently he not only dribbles & drools....
If people stalked the interweave
And looked at TwitPic carefully
A sight to see! I don’t deceive
Blog Mistress snogging openly.
And blatantly for all to see
And blatantly for all to see
A mole placed so delicately
That if not told so clearly
The truth’s out there - honestly,
Not a blemish you must agree
It made me smile and go “tee hee”.
(Thanks DaddyP! You've made her mole very happy!)
*****************************
(To which Jaffer replied:)
What a beautiful little poem
To a little spot of beauty
Odd it is put into poetry
A mole and words from A to M
****************************
(And then Speedy said:)
Ode to ode, tweet to tweet,
Hey that picha is really neat.
A mark o beauty, on a cheeky cheek
You have a nice schnozzoli,
Better than my big fat beek
Son was there, he gots a goat teet
Which is also really neat.
Guack a guwacka mollie
I have a huge one on my bum
That my lil comment fer U,
Now I haz 2 run.
*****************************
(And Miss MoneyPenny's two-cents on the subject is:)
I'm happy to see your Mole,
Wasn't hiding in a fishing Hole,
While Speedy Speedcat was on Patrol,
Trolling for fresh fish of Sole! :)

What's New @ Dear Teddy?
Those silly ol' bears at Dear Teddy are still telling tales
and busy making memories...
Replacement Bear (aka: RP) traveled all the way from
California to Great Britain to meet Snowy Bear for Christmas!
And despite having lived a very sheltered life (like in a box for the past 40 years?!?) RP appears to be coming out of his shell...and had a grand time romping around the beach with his new friend!
Click here to read all about it!
*Do YOU have a favorite memory or story to tell about one of your childhood toys? If so, Dear Teddy's resident teditors, Busy Bear, Snowy Bear, and Grumpy Ted would LOVE to hear from you!

Caught In The Moment...
Sylvie D (aka: Mrs. Fuel My Blog) is very talented artist, photographer and blogger with an eye for beauty and a knack for making some truly inspiring photo collages...which can be found on her personal blog as well as on the
Fuel My Blog's Blog, in a feature she calls
Each week, Sylvie picks a few pictures from the Fuelmyblog Flickr Group that highlight the talent amongst the Fuel My Blog community...
and the results are always surprising and a pleasure to behold.
This week I was happy to see one of my photos (lower left) as well as a couple from my bloggy-buds, Claire (upper left) and 70steen (upper right) included in this beautiful collage ~
Sylvie says, "The beauty about taking pictures is to immortalise what has moved us for a split second, what has made us stop in our tracks, admire and made us grab the moment."
(Click the picture to enlarge it,
and click here to read why she chose these particular photos.)
If you have a blog, I encourage you to join Fuel My Blog - there you will find lots of quality blogs, friendly people, forums, helpful hints and useful information about blogging, contests, and well...in my not-so-humble-opinion, it's just the BEST blogging community around!

'Twas the Night Before Christmas
Oh Christmas Tree...oh Christmas Tree...
...how bodacious are your branches!
with ME upon them!
with ME upon them!
While I'm hanging with Diva in Tennessee for Christmas,
I wonder what my blog-mistress's kids are doing back home in California?
Probably sleeping under their Christmas Tree
and listening to mom read The Night Before Christmas
like they always do on Christmas Eve.
I wonder if they'll remember all the words this year?
(Note: Despite what you see and hear in this video,
both kids really are straight "A" students
and my blog-mistress does not have a lisp!)

Semi Wordless Bra Tuesday
I don't think Nurse Amanda Hugankiss will mind if I show off her handiwork...she's quite the wiz with a needle 'n thread!
For this cute little Santa Bra, she used leftover sutures and dental floss from Hollydale General Hospital Clinic and Beaver Taming Salon!
What a gal! So crafty AND thrifty!
Ho Ho Ho!

Music Monday
I chose this Christmas song by the indie rock band, Brighten because
they are one of my blog-mistress's daughter's favorite bands
and they also hail from Chico, California!

7 Things About Not About Me Meme!
70'steen tagged me with a meme...dang it! what great timing!....thinking up stuff to reveal has really helped take my mind off the fact that I've been stuck in the same uncomfortable position inside this cramped envelope for well over a week now...arg!...me aching straps!
Anyhoo....I've decided ya'll know enough about me (for now) so I tweaked the meme just a tad to shed a little light on someone whom I've had to put UP with for years....can you guess WHO?
SEVEN THINGS NOT ABOUT ME
(hee-hee)
1. As a child, she met Charles Schultz, the creator of Peanuts, at his home/studio in Santa Rosa, California and he graciously drew and autographed a picture of Snoopy for her.
(But this is not it)
2. One of the many bad habits skills she acquired during college was beer chugging...(even while standing on her head!)....which earned her the dubious title of Chico State 1978 Pioneer Week Beer Chugging CHAMPION! She started training early
(but this is not actually her)
3. Coincidentally, that same year, she missed registration for the next semester 'cuz she was "too busy" tubing down the Sacramento River practicing her "skills" & whatnot...so she just took the semester off...and never went back. (someday she will....)
3. Coincidentally, that same year, she missed registration for the next semester 'cuz she was "too busy" tubing down the Sacramento River practicing her "skills" & whatnot...so she just took the semester off...and never went back. (someday she will....)
5. She puts peanut butter on her BLT sandwiches. HEY! Don't knock it 'til you've tried it!
6. Believe it or not, she once lived on...
6. Believe it or not, she once lived on...
7. She is not fond of heights. Nor does she like driving in the fog...or at night. She really doesn't like driving across bridges....and she hates windy (winedy?..windey?...windee?...WHINE-DEE?!?) mountain roads.
