You may have noticed that my blog-mistress has not been

paying ATTENTION TO ME!

around much lately...?

Well...there's a perfectly somewhat logical explanation for that...

you see, she's going crazy,

through a mid-life crisis,

back to school.

So... instead of cruising 'round the blogosphere in her jammies 'til long past noon everyday (and night!)...she's having to go to bed at reasonable hour,

be up before the sun, organized, disciplined and use her all of brain!

Which has thrown the ol' gal for a loop just a little off course...

She assures me that normal blogging activities will resume....but in the meantime, she's asked me to "cut her some slack" and "show a little support!"

Yah, well I've Been There, Done That!!!...so...I guess it won't kill me to do it again...

I just hope it doesn't kill her!

Life's Too Short To Stuff Tomatoes

Which may be true..

You Don't Have To Shave Your Legs....

Believe it or not,

I have an opinion on pretty much everything...

(except for sports and politics 'cuz I think they're stoopid and yucky)

...so when the good folks over at Fuel My Blog asked if I'd be willing to particpate in their Product Testing Scheme (try free stuff in exchange for an honest and unpaid review on my blog) I said, "Sure, sign me up!"

Well, since bra's don't have hair, I let my blog-mistress have a go with the first one - a hair removal product called Smooth Away. Here's her review:

Upon opening the box, my first thought was "Sandpaper?!"

But according to the Smooth Away website the product contains "superfine crystals that buff the hair away." (Which, come to think of it is kinda like sandpaper, isn't it?)

I used the large pad on my legs and was pleasantly surprised that the hair on the outside of my shins did indeed come off rather easily....but the hair on the inside of my shins, around my calves, ankles and knees did not budge. Nor did the hair on my more "sensitive areas"...'nuff said 'bout that. Then I tried the small pad on my face (not that I have a lot of hair there, just some blond fuzzies) and unfortunately it only irritated my skin.

So, my not-so-humble-opinion of Smooth Away?...if had a lot of time and patience and really fine hair, then perhaps this product would come in handy (it does claim that with continued use, less hair will grow back and it will be thinner than previous hair)...but for now, I think I'll stick with my good old fashioned razor.

What's New @ Dear Teddy?

California to Great Britain to meet Snowy Bear for Christmas!

And despite having lived a very sheltered life (like in a box for the past 40 years?!?) RP appears to be coming out of his shell...and had a grand time romping around the beach with his new friend!

7 Things About Not About Me Meme!

Whilst (still!) traveling from Norway to my next destination...

70'steen tagged me with a meme...dang it! what great timing!....thinking up stuff to reveal has really helped take my mind off the fact that I've been stuck in the same uncomfortable position inside this cramped envelope for well over a week now...arg!...me aching straps!

Anyhoo....I've decided ya'll know enough about me (for now) so I tweaked the meme just a tad to shed a little light on someone whom I've had to put UP with for years....can you guess WHO?

SEVEN THINGS NOT ABOUT ME

(hee-hee)

1. As a child, she met Charles Schultz, the creator of Peanuts, at his home/studio in Santa Rosa, California and he graciously drew and autographed a picture of Snoopy for her.

(But this is not it)

2. One of the many bad habits skills she acquired during college was beer chugging...(even while standing on her head!)....which earned her the dubious title of Chico State 1978 Pioneer Week Beer Chugging CHAMPION! She started training early

(but this is not actually her)

3. Coincidentally, that same year, she missed registration for the next semester 'cuz she was "too busy" tubing down the Sacramento River practicing her "skills" & whatnot...so she just took the semester off...and never went back. (someday she will....)

4. She loves this movie...especially this scene!

5. She puts peanut butter on her BLT sandwiches. HEY! Don't knock it 'til you've tried it!

6. Believe it or not, she once lived on...

(no comment)

7. She is not fond of heights. Nor does she like driving in the fog...or at night. She really doesn't like driving across bridges....and she hates windy (winedy?..windey?...windee?...WHINE-DEE?!?) mountain roads.

Ten Cent Tipsy Has Found His Name & Shipped Out!

The dear old bears at Dear Teddy recently asked if any one recognized this poor old bear who'd not only lost his way, but also his name! Luckily, Hungry Mother (aka: Bill McArthur) recognized his old sea chum, Ten Cent Tipsy (named for his two bad habits: drinking too much and stiffing the bartenders) and so now Ol' Ten Cent (or TenCee for short) is on his way to Bill's winter home in Florida...where Bill assures us that TenCee will have "good fun kayaking and fishing in Naples and the Everglades. He won't get bored."

The other day, Claire and I were discussing Doodle Week, which starts tomorrow, October 25th with the theme, Doodle PINK BOOBIES....in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and naturally, that got us to talking about doodling...

...and boobies
...and our doodling our boobies
...and then Claire said she'd like to paint her boobies

...not just doodle them

...and then, one thing led to another

...and somehow we decided it would be really fun to paint our boobies

...and then smoosh them onto a piece of paper

...to make a boobie-print

...like a hand-print

...but a lot more interesting
...and THEN we thought

...let's try to get as many bloggers as possible to do this too and send us their boobies-prints

...and we will post them all HERE on Halloween in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

...WHAT A GREAT IDEA!

SO, HOW 'BOUT IT, FOLKS?!? Let's SMOOSH SOME BOOBIES! Boobies of all sizes, shapes, colors and genders

are encouraged to participate!

(This is either my or Claire's feeble 1st attempt at a Smooshed Boobies-Print)

How to SMOOSH YOUR BOOBIES:

1. Tape a piece of paper to the wall (at boobie height)

2. Choose your color(s) of paint

3. Apply paint to bare boobies with a soft brush, fingers, sponge, or whatever

4. Smoosh your boobies onto the paper (you might want to experiment a little with holding them together and/or guiding them into position)

5. Repeat as necessary until desired effect is achieved

6. Shower

7. Take a picture or scan your smooshed-boobies print

8. And email it to Claire or Olga no later than Thurday, October 30th (Include your name/blog's url if you want a link back)

We will post them all at Smoosh Your Boobies on Halloween...and of course, feel free to post your boobies-print on your blog too!

Prizes will be awarded for best boobies-print, most original, most life-like,

best use of color, etc!

I would like to thank MedStudentWife of Another Day in Paradise for being so flexible and accommodating (two of my favorite characteristics) and allowing me to postpone my visit with her (in Ottawa, Canadialand) in order to stay on track with the busy travel itinerary that my slave-driver blog-mistress has set up for me through the end of the year! (Phew!)

This change of plans is actually turning out to be a blessing in disguise...because MedStudentWife has been promising to make a pair of nice warm fur cup-liners for me for almost a year...and so it just makes sense that I come back and visit her during the cold, and downright nippy month of February! Unfortunately, this means I'm missing out on going to the Caribbean next week...but hey, as usual, my loss is someone else's gain! Watch the video to find out who!

My Pal Drowsey Monkey is not only one of my favorite bloggers and an all around terrific person...today she is celebrating her ONE YEAR BLOG-IVERSARY! Woo-Hoo!!!

And, it's been nearly that long since I was first drawn to her blog by this post: A Large Penis Is Good To Have. (A-hem.) And curiously enough, if you read the comments on that post, you'll see that it was also our good buddy Speedcat Hollydale's first visit to Drowsey's blog too! AND not only that...but Drowsey's comment back to me on that post states that she was (surprise surprise) "confused" by my comment! And so set the stage for a year of some of the funniest and most memorable blogging moments I've ever had, and the development of a friendship with one of the nicest people I've ever met.

Whether I'm reading one of Drowsey's hilarious, astute, or heartfelt posts (*see the best of the best here), or we're "stalking" each other all around the blogosphere, or staying up waaaaay past our bedtimes having one of our now infamous late night e-mail "gab-sessions", or conspiring to PhotoShop some part of Speedy's anatomy....getting to know this woman has been an honor and a total BLAST!

Besides her sense of humor, what I appreciate most about Drowsey is her warmth, openness and genuineness...she has a gift for story-telling that makes you feel like you're sitting next to her in her living room (with her cats) and sharing a cup of coffee (with Baileys, of course) and maybe even with that creepy ol' neighbor peeking in through the window. Dang!...if we only lived closer, I KNOW we'd be hanging out together and cracking each other up ALL THE TIME! In fact, I don't imagine we'd get much else done...but...it sure would be fun! (Actually, in September I really AM gonna visit Drowsey! So stay tuned for THAT!)

I Gotta Get This Off My Chest!

Doodle Week/Day 5 ~ "Doodle Evil"

WARNING:

The following is a true story and is not for the faint of heart. Proceed at your own risk.

I have a confession.

I've had some "work" done.

A little "nip-tuck."

You know, cosmetic surgery?....

OK, it was a total over-haul!....but FOR A GOOD REASON!!!

Back in April 2007, a mere 2 days before I was scheduled to set forth on my very first adventure as a Traveling Bra...I suffered some serious "front end damage" at the hands, or should I say, jaws of my Oregon Chaperon's lovable, but rambunctious, Airedale Retriever who has something of a penchant for chewing on underwear! (Note to future Chaperons: Please do not leave me hanging within reach of anything with sharp teeth or claws.)

My poor, distraught Chaperon tried to stitch me back together, but soon realized that the results not going to be in keeping with my reputation as a classy, attractive, and well-preserved bra'wd. Thankfully a body-double was located and my quick-thinking Chaperon sewed my original TAG inside my back strap. This was important because, as everyone knows, the TAG is where a bra's heart and soul reside.

So even though I have undergone a horrific ordeal, mutilation and plastic surgery...underneath it all, I am still the same old Olga I've always been. Maybe even better! :)

(A side note: My blog-mistress knew nothing about this unfortunate event until we were reunited in July 2007 at Lake Almanor...at first, my altered appearance really confused the poor ol' gal, but after learning of my near death experience, she readily embraced me...just like the good old days!)

I Love The Mountains...

Since I've always been a huge admirer of great big beautiful mountains, I'd love to vacation somewhere like the Grand Tetons in Wyoming...or Las Tetas De Cayey, in Puerto Rico...or, with any luck (and a few connections) maybe someday I'll be lucky enough to visit The Olga's in Australia! My dream vacation would also have to include cows because I just love 'em...cows make me feel udderly happy and remind me of my roots (Petaluma, California.) Add plenty of sunshine, a few (dozen) boxes of dark chocolate, and lots of full-bodied red wine and...I'm a happy camper!

What Do a Jock Strap, 2 Bras, a Non-Sex Toy, a Pair of Dog-Panties, and a Condom Have In Common?

The answer, of course, is ME!!! (In my not-so-humble opinion, that is.)

You see, Dorky Dad claims it was ME who inspired Frank, the Sedentary Jock Strap to finally get off his butt and go DO something....unfortunately all he ever did was terrorize the Dorky household! Frank, what a nut case...

Inspired to travel, but directionally challenged, poor little Petra Wellpaddedton, the Orphan Bra took one wrong turn and ended up on the doorstep of Daddy Papersurfer! Thankfully, Fracas rescued Petra just in the nick of time...(long story/read it here.) Petra has been in the Fraccy Rehab Center undergoing intensive therapy ever since.

And then there's Sheila, a HUGE pink bra who's been causing some big rumblings Down Under as she travels around supporting friendship between women in Australia...very inspirational.

Claire's traveling Non-Sex Toy, Willy has been popping up all over the blogosphere! (And seen poking his cute little head around in some rather unusual places too.) As you know, Willy and I are currently hanging out together, and we're busy inspiring each other night and day...right NOW as a matter of fact!

After seeing how much fun I'm having, Dot, the Traveling Bikini Dog Panties felt inspired to take off with Cici, the dog and CeliaSue, the human to go traveling 'round the country in search of lots of fun and exciting dog-friendly destinations!

And now, we can add yet another name to this List of Things I Claim To Have Somehow Inspired To Start Traveling That Normally Don't Go Traveling Around By Themselves (yes, I just made that up)...meet, Henry, the Traveling Condom (no, I did not just make that up - Relax Max did.) Good Luck Henry! And travel safely!

Well...Top Secret Undercover Agent Senator Speedycat Hollydale has used that big ol' head of his and solved the mystery behind the many sudden hits I've been getting! (Over 1,100 in the past 2 days!)

Meet Elvis!

...isn't he handsome?!

Elvis is a Minature Pinscher and The Mayor's right hand man ~ therefore, he travels everywhere with The Mayor. But Elvis also has a knack for getting his wee paws into a bit of trouble now and then, so I thought the two busy guys-on-the-go might appreciate this nifty dog-carrier! It was part of the cool prize package I received from winning the Name the Traveling Dog Panties contest at Cuppa Writing for the Soul....and is courtesy of DoggyTug dog toys. As you can see, Elvis really digs it.

My Favorite Redneck

One of my favoritest bloggers/human beings is Mr. Robert Bourne formerly of Robert's Road, whom I have affectionately dubbed Crusty because of his claims to be a "Crusty Ol' Truck Drivin' Redneck." Perhaps he is, BUT he is also big ol' teddy bear with a heart of gold, wicked of humor, and knack for writing some of the most beautiful, thought provoking poetry I've ever read. Robert has published a book of poetry reflecting his life on the road as a longhaul truck driver; Life and Love, From the Road. He says, "There are many long days and weeks alone in this occupation. This is how I passed the time and dealt with the loneliness."

Chico, California has been bombed with what appears to be massive amounts of powered sugar!!!

...surprising the pants off local residents, many of whom were outside enjoying the warm spring weather and trying to get a head start on their summer tans. Area livestock were hit especially hard...

...and the normally Happy California Cows are now anything BUT happy! An especially angry rooster is demanding a full investigation and PETA is sending in a team of therapists to help counsel those who have been

traumatized by this bizarre attack! AFLAC is already on the scene assessing the damage...
...and residents are being warned to stay indoors until authorities can clean things up.

So far the only clue as to WHO could possibly be responsible for this mess is this photo taken of a suspicious looking character who was seen driving a FedEx truck past my blog-mistress's house earlier in the day...(He looks kinda familiar to me...???)

**UPDATE: Miss Moneypenny's elite 36DD Stealth Brassiere Bomb Squadron is currently poised and ready to lend major support in case of another Sugar Bomb attack. Phew! But what I really want to know is....

Looks like word of my pioneering journey as the world's first Traveling Bra is creating quite a stir in the undergarment underworld! With the exception of a few uptight knickers and conservative granny-panties who've gotten themselves all bunched up in a wad over my "alternative lifestyle," most of my peers have been very supportive! In fact, I'm happy to report that several of my contemporaries have even followed suit!...

Remember Frank, the Sedentary Jock Strap?...that strappy little guy with a BIG drinking problem sense of humor? Well, he still doesn't feel very comfortable outdoors, so he's busy creating havoc his own little adventures inside Dorky Dad's house! In fact, now I'm beginning to wonder if Frank was involved in this latest Dorky Dad fiasco! Some say Frank's nothing but a dumb jock (and a royal pain in the a$$,) but I say it takes balls to do what he's doing, so cut him some slack, OK?!

And then there's Sheila, a HUGE pink bra who's been causing some big rumblings Down Under as she travels around raising social understanding (as well as a few eyebrows) and friendship between women. You go girl! With any luck, the two of us will hook-up and compare notes someday!

Loin Cloths ~ They're "Not Just for the Islands" Anymore....

Word's gotten out that Speedy's been moonlighting as a loin cloth clad exotic dancer in order to help fund his insatiable appetite for fried chicken! And, he's become somewhat of an overnight sensation too...look who's already on the cover of Rolling Stone! So, why a loin cloth, you ask? Well, Speedy says, "Loin cloths?? Ohh sure, they are very comfortable. Not just for the islands." (See his comment in my previous post.) Rescued a couple of months ago by Fracas and her Famous Fraccy Posse from a near death experience (i.e., made into a kiwi-support device by certain person who shall remain faceless headless nameless, but whom Petra has forgiven and sends her breast wishes)...Petra has been recovering quite nicely with her brave and bodacious saviour in Canada ~ where my bee-yoo-tiful candle was also made AND where I am convinced some of the nicest people on earth reside! Little Petra and I have been having a ball bonding over over a few Sierra Nevada Pale Ales (yum, my favorite!) and merrily dreaming about our next exciting globetrotting adventure! Newsflash: Big Busted Women No Longer Have To Go Broke Supporting Themselves

Asda, the second-biggest food retailer in the U.K. and owned by U.S. giant Wal-Mart, has announced that they are "putting an end once and for all to one of the last prejudices - that of the bigger-busted woman" (huh?) because all of their (George brand) bras, from A cup through to F cup, are now exactly the same price.

Well, isn't that just peachy? Now British ladies of all sizes can pop into the store and pick up their milk jugs, melons and themselves ~ for less!

The Archive Meme - Taking A Look Back

How timely! I've been tagged with a meme to help me "wring out the old & ring in the new!" I'd like to thank my bloggy buddy Kuanyin of Blog-Blond for tagging me with this Archive Meme in which I am supposed go through my blog archives and choose my 5 favorite posts about (1) family (2) friends (3) myself (4) something I love (5) oh boy - my choice!

All this retrospection got me wondering about where this meme started in the first place...so I began backtracking the links beginning with Kuanyin...and 25 blogs later, I'd virtually traveled from Maui to Australia to South Africa, all around Asia, over to Italy and Guatemala, and then right back here to the good ol' USA...where I found the meme's originator ~ Kyra of The 108! Phew! I'm pooped!...but it was totally worth the trip, because Kyra's blog is hilarious and her meme is a GREAT IDEA! Toss Me Gently Toss Me Slowly

Yesterday, fellow blogger, Sullicom alerted me to this startling news: Apparently, these two buddies from Toledo, Ohio were traveling together on the I-75 and, though they deny it, making rude gestures to a carload of teenage girls...when suddenly a red bra that was hanging on the girls' car antenna came flying through the air towards them, causing buddy #1 (the driver) to freak out, swerve and crash the car!

Both guys were injured and subsequently sued the teenage girl who's bra had gone airborne. And now buddy #2 (the passenger) is suing buddy #1 for "negligent driving"...but buddy #1 claims he wasn't negligent, he just didn't "recognize the flying object as being a bra!" Yeah, well maybe that's because in the news article it is described as being a "dog-chewed red bra!" OMG!

If dangling a chewed up bra on the antenna of a speeding car-load of semi-dressed teenage girls, so it then gets tossed straight into the path of Dumb and Dumber isn't a clear cut case of BRA ABUSE, then I don't know what is!

This is not to say that bras should never be tossed...done correctly, tossing your bra can be fun for both you and the bra....but puh-leeez, if you are going to toss a bra, do it right - toss it gently, and never at high rates of speed.
